South Florida Lawmakers Unite To Denounce anti-Semitism And Hate

Anti-Semitic attacks under the microscope in South Florida as Congresspeople Ted Deutch and Debbie Wasserman Schultz join with local religious and community leaders denouncing hate. The most recent attack happened inside a rabbi’s home in New York during a Hanukkah party when a man wielding a machete stabbed the Rabbi and 4 others. Sheri Zvi-Regional director of the Anti-Defmation League Florida calls this domestic terrorism and she says it's on the rise across the country. Before the Hannukah attack, there were 8 other hate crimes being investigated in New York before 3 people were shot and killed in a kosher market in New Jersey. A new California State University report says anti-Semitic crimes in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are poised to hit an 18-year high this year.
